Flight education

If you are trapped by the desire of endless freedom the next step would be a flight education as private or commercial pilot for airplane or helicopter.

According to your Berlin address we provide you suitable possibilities for education in the surroundings.

The following licenses and ratings are possible:
Private Pilote License (PPL) - Commercial Pilote License (CPL) - Instrument Rating - Multi-Engine Rating - Certified Flight Instructor - Certified Flight Instructor Instrument-CFII - Certified Flight Instructor Multi-engine

conditions for pilot licenses:

  • From an admitted flight doctor you will
need a certificate of flight usefulness.
  • You are only 17? Then you will need a per-
       mission of your guardian.
  • Even if you are 18 or older you will need 2
certified copies of your birth certificate.
  • Details on you from the traffic register, a
police clearance and 5 passport photos in
       3,5 x 4,0 cm.
  • Proof of attendence for an education on
       “measures on scene of accident”.
  • If you passed these first “obstacles” successfully you are “ready for take-off”. Starting your education is possible nearly everytime. Through the individual education method you can chose your flight and lesson dates yourself.

Theoretical education includes approx. 80 lessons in the following topics:

  • Flight laws, air traffic and flight security prescriptions:
Law prescriptions and other publications of air traffic authorities, airfields, aircrafts,
flight personnel, participation in air traffic, pilot liablity and aircraft owner insurances,
criminal offence and irregularities as well as navigation.
  • Metereology:
Everyone is taking about the weather. You will be suprised which factors have an in-
fluence on particular weather situations. The weather is an essential part of your edu-
cation, because your flight depends on it.
  • Technology:
Why and how does an aircraft fly? This question will be answered in your technical
lessons in detail. Furthermore you will learn a lot about aircraft technology such as
engines, instruments and preparation of an aircraft.
  • Behavior in special cases:
How do you behave when something does not work the way you planned or something
unforeseen happens? Either failure of aircrafts parts, worsening of weather conditions
or behavior in cases of incidents - everything will be teached to you during the lessons.
  • Flight education includes approx. 40 flight hours in case of best circumstances.

  • Flight education to first single flight:
This includes all exercises which guarantee
a save flight performance. Starting with
       ground instructions followed by starting
engines and you will sit on the pilot seat.
  • An experienced flight instructor sits right next to you and practises with you: take-off, climb to altitude, horizontal flight, curve flight, sink flight, hovering flight, special flight situations and behavior in emergency - as long as you are able to fly alone.

  • Field training for helicopter education:
In field training you will do at least 20 landings on limited ground, 5 of them in single
       flight.
  • Exercises to first single long-distance flight:
With these exercises your flight instructor goes on route with you. You will learn how
to exactly prepare a flight, perform the flight according to your preparations and follow
the routing by use of flight maps. You will also learn radar navigation. A navigation with
which you are able to keep and fix your flight way and position by use of radar.
  • First single long-distance flight:
You will fly a distance of approx. 300 km and do 2 landings on airfields on the route.
  • Exam preparation and exam:
Exam preparation includes all learned exer-
cises. In addition you will practise handling
of aircraft with stopovers, altitude flight
       and emergency landings.
